Valentine

I woke up in the morning, and rolled out of my bed.
I looked up at the calender wishing it was a different day instead.
I walked up to the sunshine, said hello to the world
Hoping the chill in the air could hide some of my hurt.

Oh your five days late my Valentine
I guess that you forgot.
About the cards and flowers in the stores
Just waiting to be bought.
But i'm getting lonely Valentine
You couldn't even call?
For a Holiday that hurts this much
Why do we celebrate at all...

I went to bed again tonight
I tossed and turned till dawn.
Listing the reasons in my head
Of why its so hard to move on.
Its been months and months now Valentine
And i've been waiting the whole time
It's just that I thought this year would be different
I thought you would be mine <3

This is a lot like a poem I wrote also called Valentine.
