I long to be free

Topic: secrets

I long to be free,
I want to be in a place where no one knows my name
From day to day and time to time i can change who i am.
I want to be like the wind,
Flowing in any which direction
Flowing any path
Following no one
Touching everyone,
To see the world how wonderful that must be
Oh how i love to be free.

Like the bird
He worries not about his needs
But gets everything he needs
In pack where he fits in,
Same color,size, same everything
So different from me,
But i'm the one who want to be he
Just so i can be free.

I'm so caved in a world
So unreal, yet so real,
I fight to get somewhere
To have something
To be someone
Then i realize the other day
That i was no longer free.
Everyone knows my name,
Knows where i was going
I touched no one
And fit in with nobody
Worried about everything.

That is life, that is me {Envy}
But oh how i long to be free!!

I could not relate to this more...Everything I feel but could not put into words. I think you've captured the feeling well. This could maybe use a little bit of work, but not a lot, it's a great piece.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
