now that you're gone (love story pt. 3)

Contributed by fallensilence on Saturday, 4th January 2003 @ 12:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

i remember you pressed our lips on me once
emphasis on once.
(you couldnt kiss my lips)
never again did your lips come near me again
so why do i still think of you?
when all i have left are open wounds left by you
wounds that will never heal.

two weeks of love by two weak individuals
leaves two years of pain on me

its nighttime.
and as i listen to the record
the one you never gave me
i feel the all too familiar trickle of blood
do you even understand
what made me turn my face away

as i fall silent...
i hear your voice say "goodbye my precious martyr"
and i hear myself say "goodnight. ill always love you"
