gently slice into my thoughts
slowly cut into my heart
finality of forgotten foughts
carefully tear me apart
meet me on santa monica
we'll get high and fall asleep
muy claro y bonita
is the moon while we do dream
surely open into my secrets
kindly dig into my soul
take out my spirit, keep it
for i am already cold
meet me on santa monica
we'll get high and fall asleep
muy ameno y bonita
is the moon while we do dream
*la luna es muy bonita
en el bulevar de santa monica
deja la luz brillo claro
para todo retenido caro*
the moon is very beautiful
on santa monica boulevard
let the light shine bright
for everything you hold dear

LOL! Spanish? I am clueless! (I speak english (obviously), computerese, and a little icelandic, norwegian and french).
Different? I guess you could say that! With the new style and verses I can't translate (my kids know spanish but they're in dreamland) I have no idea what you are trying to say. The verses are visual and I can get what each stanza is saying but I can't seem to connect the dots to see what the poem is trying to tell me as a whole.
Not a bad poem, but a bad reader (i.e. me). I'm sure it's good like KC says but it's over my head like a satellite in geosynchronous orbit, lol. |
