I don't need you anymore

Contributed by Unbreakable on Wednesday, 8th June 2005 @ 06:26:33 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

She can't make herself believe in a Saviour
When she's never seen a single soul saved

"Jesus, where the hell are you?" she asks,
"For me you say your life you gave?"

"If you're so perfect and beautiful," she thinks,
"Why make me so insignificant, so weak?

Why let everyone I love bring me down
and still expect it to be you I seek?"

In her world twisted with anger and hurt
So many emotions run through her blood

And she doesn't know what to believe anymore
If God could help her, in her mind he should

Abandonned by a mother, a brother and serenity
left alone to deal in her world of pain

She knows she should be thankful for what she has
But nostalgia's all she has to keep her sane

She believes that if there is a saviour
She hates him and everything he's for

Because that girl is me and her world is mine
And I don't need you anymore

Awesome work. I really liked it. I have had the same thoughts and emotions. You did a great job of putting them on paper.
