not sure you know (love story pt 1)

here i am again...
in this all too familiar place
it wont be long though
before i lose this high and drown in sorrows

i wasnt sure i knew you until the other day
the other day when i was thinking of yesterday
souls so distant when we're inches apart
you can touch my skin but never my heart

i learned from your silence that all i got was pity

you can't find words to say to my face
i really must be worthless to not even get your sympathy
but i cant deny the way i feel for you
paralyzed heart wont start beating
even my lungs cant start breathing
(my emotions go unseen by you)
you have me thinking differently
a euphoric state of mind

"what did i say?" ill ask
"nothing" she tells me.

should i have not shared my heart with you?
i wish i knew the words to have you see me. to love me.
