There is so much
I wish I could own.
There is so much
forever lost in the dark unknown.
Just like our love,
lost and forsaken in a lake of sorrow.
Just like our passion,
long forgotten before the coming of tomorrow.
What's yesterday
but part of a regretful past?
What's tomorrow
but something that may never come, nor last?
I never cried about it,
I never spoke a broken-hearted word.
For the one time I did,
only the empty darkness heard.
I know not why we fell apart,
or went our separate ways.
All I know is that nothing
can erase those peaceful days.
There's so much
I wish I could, just for another second, own.
But I know that our love is forever lost
in the dark unknown.
Along with our love,
rests my fateful past.
Along with our love,
rests the rose that never live, nor last.
Along with our love,
I rest solemn and alone.
Along with our love,
rests the dark unknown.

Nice, I liked it. Especially this line; "What's yesterday but part of a regretful past? What's tomorrow but something that may never come, nor last?" Well said.
