rickety bridge

Contributed by karmen on Tuesday, 7th June 2005 @ 11:50:48 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Watch your footing privilege,
for you may fall,
and as you walk along the broken bridge,
remember you almost had it all.

An amazing life, filling with hope,
but that's just the dream,
in real like you're walking a tightrope,
high above, and on a torn seam.

Your dream and reality must divide,
you now know whats real and fake,
with a fear you collide,
for the first time you feel awake.

You now know pain,
and see life the true way.
Nothing to lose, nothing to gain,
except life as a rickety bridge, until a new day.
