Sorry I Forgot Your Birthday

I'm sorry I forgot your birthday.
Even though it is a little late.
I just want you to know I still thought about you on that day anyway.
Even though I didn't say happy birthday to you on your special day.
I know I told you I would remember.
But things came up and I thought it was in September.
That's why I didn't remember.
But next time I promise to remember that your birthday is definitely not in September.
