I See Them All

Regret has many faces,
as does sorrow, pain, and gulit.
All these faces helped me
put up all these walls I've built.
The past is gone,
as the bruises on my soul.
Yet I feel as though
I have not fulfilled my destined role.
I have a ways to go
along my road to the end.
But where the end is,
that's beyond my ability to comprehend.
My dreams are clouded by regret,
the light is always shaded.
By the time I reach the light,
the radiance has well faded.
Regret has many faces,
and the past manages to stand tall.
Regret has many faces,
when I look in the mirror, I see them all.

This is a splendid write. I think we have all suffered pangs of regret that we wish we could go back and undo. Great poem.
