Rusted bars and puddles
Cold and darkness welcome the day
Shut inside a box with no wisdom
But wise beyond them, I begin to pray
Senses numb from no exposure
I am blocked from the outside world, within
I wait each day to pass by me
Prepare my senses for my time to begin
They reach out through windows
Scream for light in this rusted cage
I am filled with the deepest sorrow
I am concealed beneath the darkest rage
My wooden chair has been splintered
Each shard sunk into my soft flesh
Out of boredom comes sensation
As my crystal dreams and rusted bars mesh
Drug me with your conclusions
See a tainted man lying on the floor
Tears and rainwater gather
Locked up in concealment, a broken key lies beyond the door
A story of utter frustration
A mess scattered in a cold, stone room
Sunk into despair even thereafter
Alone and awaiting a futureless doom
I am content to rot here
And once your sadistic will is done
I will prevail against the torment
Once you realize you will never have won
Clusters of thoughts wrap around me
Against myself in preparation for an end
Lost without a motive to stop me
Shards draw blood and wood is my only friend
A sink drips through a faucet
The pipes colored rusted red
A beautiful color for a nursery
An awful color when your soul is dead
Stronger than the both of us
Its not enough that you detour all the blame
For you sit off some place and wonder
Whether or not things would still be the same
I have reminders and often think of you
I only see the rusted color red
Its floating around me, swirling
Rusted bars and puddles, dancing above my head
