Speeding down a lonely highway headed nowhere fast
The scenery seemed somewhat familiar so I journeyed down that path
It felt like a case of deja vu might have showed its mysterious face
The road was narrow, twisted and curved, late night was on its way
Driving for hours along that road but then I suddenly stopped
Got out my car looked around and found this burial plot
On top of the plot sat a stone with a man's name engraved
It read that he had died in June 1928
Decided to leave but changed my mind the plot was calling my name
Dug up the grave and came upon a sight I can't explain
My face turned pale as I thought to myself could this actually be
That the dead man inside of the grave just happened to be me.

Good descriptive verse.
I liked the twist at the end. |
