An Empty throne

Contributed by enamat on Monday, 6th June 2005 @ 03:03:03 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Aren’t you the biggest fool
I ever met
Playing hard to get
When there isn’t much time left.
Any moment now
I will change my mind,
some poor new fool
I will find.

though,
Concrete castles are no fun,
And pursue becomes tiresome
When you’re searching for chosen one
to fill an empty throne.

So, maybe
There is no prince
To rescue me from tomorrow
There is no Sun
To brighten my sorrows
No one can tell what follows
In this on going circle of life.
For lonesome journey is a head of us
Who can’t bear to trust.
Waves of affection I give to many,
But sea of love is for one only
This burden I can’t carry
On my own.
Silent sighs of my soul
I save for one on that throne.
The one that is lost, never been
Or already gone.

This is great. I like the way you explained the difference between affection and real love. So many don't realize it is a big difference. This was an enjoyable read.

smiles,
Rita
