She's bound by her beauty
a rose in a vase
smiling's a duty
when looks are what's all
Thorns of her history
make barbed wire skin
the roots of her misery
keep sunshine at bay
She's a red petal
soft in the sun
but cold like cold metal
i can't keep her warm
Dark leaves despair
when there's nothing there
not a breeze of her life
can move through the air...
...She's bound by her beauty

You pen her pain so well. Beauty is not always an asset. Hopefully one day she can throw off that gauntlet and smile with beauty and gladness from her heart.
smiles,
