Past Revisitied

Topic: FamilyPoems

I remember oh to well the day you walked out
You behaved like such a coward
You broke then news then left for work
I didn't feel anything for you- the shock had over-powered
You had long been hiding behind hurtful lies-
Saying what you thought we wanted to hear
You weren't protecting us at all
You were protecting your gravest fear.
But they've all come out- your darkest fears
Now it's your turn to cry
You've lost the ones you love so much
All because of your deceitful lie.
You had the power to prevent this
But you just carried on
It's about time you felt our pain
Because now it's us that's gone
You always thought about yourself
And never of what we would feel
You have inflicted this upon yourself
Because your lie, you did conceal
You continue to believe we did not know
Do you really think we were that naive?
You didn't expect the unexpected
Maybe it was better for you to leave
I hope you're happy with what you've done
Because you've brought true MY worst fear
You'll never reclaim what you once had
I hope I've made that crystal clear.
