Turning Around

I've been wasting my time
On the past
Waiting for something that
Came and went
But I cannot continue while
Looking back
And longing for something
That's long been spent
I've gone too far
Living in fear
I've been afraid to
Turn around
Unaware of what is
Ahead of me
I've fought to stand on
Shaky ground
Why is it I let what I
Can't control
Control my very being?
What is the point of beauty
If I deny my sense
Of seeing?
So I will give up on this
Impossible dream
And follow the voice in
My heart
I will keep the belief
Within my soul:
Where one dream ends
Another must start. . .

This was good. I appreciate any work where people look at themselves
and try to see or understand. The ending was sweet and hopeful. Good job.
