your soul I know inside and out
Nothing can change the way you feel
Your soul is calling to every sound
Hoping it will be your way out

Your soul aches for justice
Your soul hopes for love
Acting like everything is right
When everything is oh so wrong

You sit there at night
looking at the stars knowing that one day
you will be one
a bright star ready to glow

Your soul would be free
not ready to turn cold again
not ready to be alone again
in this lonely word of ours
