Fighting the Tears

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Struggling to fight them
I hate it when I shed
The tears of my eyes
I always try to dry
Them as fast as possible
I can’t handle
This pain
But what do I gain,
By letting the tears flow?
I make them slow
Before they even start
This is the way I will fight
Tears and my feelings
That aren’t healing
I will stop them
Before they even
Begin to flow
I won’t let them show
Tears nor emotions
Hiding them with caution
Won’t talk to anyone
Fighting this on my own
Won’t cry often
My cries I soften
I won’t cry, won’t let it out
My world is full of doubt
So, I won’t bring others in
My eyes begin to glisten
As I fight this on my own
I stand here all alone
My tears I hold back
As I sit here on the track
Crying my heart out
And yet not a tear falls
Screaming out in pain
As I begin to drain
But I say nothing
This is something
I must keep to myself
Locked up inside this cell
I built up inside
Where all my feelings lie
But to this cage
In all of my rage
I forgot to make a key
Oh well… doesn’t bug me

A LOT. just like two hours ago i got off the phone with derrick bc i was mad at him and i felt down and we talked through it and i was a lot happier. ive told you so many times and i'll tell you again... TALK TO ME!
