A Picture Says...

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Sunday, 5th June 2005 @ 05:17:18 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Typical, hypocritical
cruel, cynical

Dark and foreboding
full of self loathing

Emotionally stunted
misery hunted

Player, game
hurtful aim

Childish, disdain
out for pain

Logical insanity
full of vanity

Heartless, cold
mentally not old

Out for number one
from love you run

and now...without further adieu
this...THIS is about YOU.

I see tiny glimmers of sunshine peeking through the darkness. I expect one day we shall view glorious rays of sunshine from a no longer haunted woman. She will be bright and strong and happy and shall rejoice in her realization of reality. Soon, soon, soon my spirits say.

smiles

others say it is an angry poem, and it is, but more so then that. more like this poem has many layers.
i dont really like when a poem is layed out such as this, but i think that it works perfectly here.
great use on the vocab. and nice smooth and simple rhyming.
5/5
this was a great poem.

you f***ing people you make me sick. is hurt only skin deep to you? is anger a feeling and not a characteristic. who we are is built in our self denial. you are all blind. where is the awe or the appreciation for the screams in this peice? where is your intelligence in the congratulations? you look at 500 "works" "poems" all your uselessly titled exibitions a day and forget that behind every word there is a murderer behind every analogy every metaphor every regret there is a human being capable of what none of us could possibly begin to conceive in a thousand years of wisdom's conquest. we are all vessels of an untold story all veins pumping blood to the heart of humanity and we're collapsing. you people breath on sh*t and that's all you're worth. would you take a look around and realize that you are not in every picture!

~hauntedscorp, i don't know you i have just read this write as a first impression of your work, i felt you hiding in these words i felt your tears hit the paper calloused and fragile. embrace what you have, our divinity is in our flaws.~weepingprophet
