Dreams Never Die

Contributed by THEL0STDREAMER on Sunday, 5th June 2005 @ 03:09:21 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

When I lost my hope,
when I lost my way,
You were there to
comfort me and say:

Reach for the stars,
for they never fade.
Have faith in yourself,
then you have it made.

Her dream list could easily
overtake the sky.
She never ever wanted an answer
when she asked the question, "Why?"
Her wishes were astounding,
they burned like fire.
Whenever she dreamed,
she was taken even higher.
But one day, the day that put
all her dreams on the line...
Everything was shot down,
and her faith began to decline.
"Never again" she said to me,
she refused to dream another dream.
She said faith wasn't anything,
it wasn't what she made it seem.
But the words that inspired me,
I spoke them back to her.
She began to dream again,
and get lost in the world of wonder.
Soon after, she took me by the hand
and looked me in the eye.
She said she the reason she succeeded
is because dreams never die.
