So long ago you left me,
It took a while for my heart to heal.
But now my life's on track again,
And I remember how to feel.
I no longer breathe for you,
I know longer need you to survive.
I know now it's not you,
Who was keeping me alive.
But old demons return,
And you've crept between the cracks.
How do I know if it's real,
What if it's another act?
You tell me you love me,
And you cant live without me anymore.
I just dont know if im ready,
To let you back again through that door.
You're back into my life,
Yet you're so far away.
Why is it when you're in my world,
My skies all turn to grey?
The ache of distance,
Is killing me inside.
I know I cant hold it in,
I must let go of my pride.
The love I have for you,
Is deep and true.
There's nothing in this world,
I wouldnt do for you.
When you cloud my mind,
Everything is all a blurr.
I wish things could be,
Just as they were.
In between this closeness,
Theres this distance causing ache.
I know you're walking toward me,
The closer you get, the more I break.
