Hush little baby
Don’t say a word
We have too many
Years for those dumb birds
That are mocking us all
Because we have to get older
And then when we fall
They are rolling over
With laughter
And as we cry
They only laugh harder
And we all want to die
I remember those days
When the mocking birds used to sing
And rock us away
Now they have the ring
And monotone of death
As it creeps closer
They begin to laugh
Those birds call us losers
Because we have outgrown
Those old lullabies
