Contributed by timmy2scoops on Saturday, 4th June 2005 @ 07:28:09 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

i winked with my eyes closed
in a dream at some wild ho's
they said hey
i said hi
they said were
i said why
i awoke to a smoke
my covers had a poke
i had a laugh
my dog made a joke
my fingers r wigglin
my toes started gigglin
why is the sky blue
they called me mexican
so i spoke chinnese
they called me black
so i rode a horse
they called me white
so i moved 2 tha hood
i didnt know what 2 do
i was chinnese but i didnt bow
i olny shook his hand
so next time they call you an indian
ride an elephant or play nintendo
do what ever they tell u not 2 do
when u do it just remember
your olny human

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
