I never could decide why you left,
or contemplate the feelings behind it,
feel the reasoning in you're thoughts,
or what it was i did wrong.
Laying here shivering, going out of my mind
fighting to get a rein on these feelings
realizing that to you i was always lost
finally just letting it all go
you never make sense of the ashes
or make love out of something empty
stuck with these hot and cold flashes
always feeling betrayed inside of me.
Crying over what was so suddenly lost
Squirming under the searing heat of this needle
losing sight of what i started
trapped in this empty shell i call life
