ANIMALS DAY DREAMS

ANIMAL'S DAY DREAMS

Seldom see an animal out of sorts,
That's because he has "dream supports"
That's right, he dreams of the day
when the tables will be turned.
And he can use all that he has learned.

Snab-dap in the middle of his chase, the antelope turns,
'Tis time to chase the cheetah--remembering all his patterns!

Now, I'm telling you the truth, Pigs aren't dirty like people accuse.
They dream of showers with tile walls, without dirt, and all the ooz!

We say Polar Bears are never cold, they love the ice and snow.
They dream of golden tubs of hot water,
while freezing in winds below zero.

Oh the humiliation of it all for the poor Alligator critters.
Revenge for them comes with his head on a platter with a side of bitters.

Mrs. Polar Bear is just so disgusted with her lazy no moving spouse!
This time instead of asking, she dreams about throwing all his fish away
that she fished for all day yesterday,.....dirty louse!

We Mallard ducks get tired, what do you think about that,
you unreasoning humans?
Only thing that keeps me going each year is dreaming of flying United,
resting my wings in the heavens!

I dream of cuddling on a "human rug" by the fireplace with my mate.
Have you ever tried to make love in a snowdrift?
Try it sometime, frozen prostrate!

Why not hide? Turn about is fair play,
do they ever give us any warning?
Dirty bums, they shoot us right out of the sky. then send their dogs
to bite us while we're dying!

"No you can't come out today, I'm not going to feed you either.
It's experiment time, we slice your brain in half to see if
you can still think, here take your dose of ether.

Don't fall now you ungrateful man, if you break your leg
I'll shoot you in the head
Come on get up, we've got lots of money bet on this purse,
run you stupid "skin head!"

How does it feel to look at the other side of a "man swatter"
numb skull?
Now you know how I feel, how do you want to get hit?
Gentle, or vengeful?

Try carrying your house around on your back for a lifetime.
I've dreamt of tank traction for over a hundred years now,
I feel so privileged too 'cause I get to end this rhyme!

"If [man] is not to stifle his human feelings,
he must practice kindness towards animals,
for he who is cruel to animals becomes hard also in his dealings
with men. We can judge the heart of a man by his
treatment of animals!

~ Immanuel Kant (1724-1804)
German metaphysician & transcendental philosopher

"Frozen prostrate..." LMAO....hehehehe. This poem is wonderfully presented with the words excellently on point with the images. This gave me a good laugh in some parts, and the terrible reality of the rest made my heart sink. I too, am an avid animal lover and I wish everyone thought as kindly as you clearly do for them. Your nic says it all....Well done.
Scorp.
