The Chord

Contributed by gwenevere on Saturday, 4th June 2005 @ 05:32:50 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Hear the chord of music sing
Floating on the air
Very gently tinkling
Melody so fair

Follow as the music calls
Visit music land
Listen to the rise and falls
Conducted by fair hand

Hear the rhythm, beat in time
As we feel the trance
Then your hands will meet with mine
As we start to dance

Hear the chord of music sing
Sing for you and me
Hope and joy and love will bring
To the eternal sea

I can associate to these feelings of inspiration…conjured by the diversity of sound.
Noise.
I like that you have captured the smallest functional unit of music.
The chord.
Within its simplicity is a universe of complexity.
And how you have personified its existence:
“Hear the chord of music sing”
I also like the concept of “eternal sea”
An interesting write.
