°°°Mirrored Destiny-2°°°

Contributed by OreO on Friday, 3rd January 2003 @ 09:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

I sat down when i no longer saw his bus
The homeless man sitting there didnt say much
I grabbed his arm crying and told him some things
I said he didn't come, are you listening to me?

.*.

I refused to beleive true love came to see me
And that he left me sitting so cold and lonely
I couldn't beleive how i felt on that night
And outside Central Park i slept hoping to die

.*.

Now when morning came and i woke alive and safe
I wondered why my soul was denied heaven's gates
I watched all the cars and the people walk by
And that same homeless man sat there right by my side

.*.

I saw somthing coming that i didn't like
I sat up and i saw WTC photos sold, this isnt right
I walked up to see what there faces looked like
And wondered how they could actually sleep at night

.*.

I turned myself away from money profiting fools
And the tears fell from my eyes like blue water pools
I then heard an airplane flying way up high
And the world in Manhattan stopped only to cry

.*.

The people they all stopped to look straight up in the sky
Out of fear that another terrorist might just fly
This ripped my heart and my soul fell away
As i dropped to my knees and real hard i did pray

.*.

But then a man came as he leaned down to me
He said child did you lose some of your family?
I looked at him and i shook my head no
I was only right here to help other's to grow..

.*.

I cried as i stood up and looked all around
I stopped for a minute and didn't make a sound
The sadness was everywhere on everyone's face
I could feel it as people passed by me that day

.*.

I walked down the streets of Manhattan that day
With my socks on my feet, American pride there to stay
Manhattan it captured the depth of my soul
For what i went through, nobody will ever know

To be continued....

Surely no one can know just how much pain the human heart can take, but I feel from reading your words that you are as about as close to knowing as anyone I have known.

God bless,
wordsy.
