Through the night sky,
The wind whispering through the air,
Half-spoken words of utter comfort.
Bringing back memories of times before.
Relieving my mind of these god-forsaken sorrows,
That pull and tear at my aching heart.
A single tear, only reminds me of you.
And as I turn away in pain,
I can hear your voice again.
Speaking to me softly, like a sullen lullabye.
I cry myself to sleep once again.
The song sifts upon its gentle melody,
Lurring me away from haunted thoughts of sadness.
And now, as I grow, my griefs fade behind me.
This grey shadow of my memory.
And in my soul, I can still hear you sing,
Those beautiful songs of dreams and reveries.
