What the Fingers Touch

Curves in a smiling face,
a mouth that smokes way too much,
censored things that twitch with joy,
are memories of what the fingers touch,
Wounds are healed by hindsight band-aids,
all is forgotten as the present fades
into a swirling pot of past events.
The slight touches and pleasant scents
blend with the heartbreak and the letters sent,
untill I forget why it is I went.
Half felt tears of a last good cry,
a wetness that that comes at such
a moment as the last good bye,
are memories of what the fingers touch.

Nicely done Cody! You are a skilled poet, and this poem loaned some insight into who you really are. Well done.
