Rabbits In The Cabin

Contributed by jyssvw22 on Friday, 3rd June 2005 @ 03:02:54 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

She wears a magician’s hat, she does all kinds of tricks
She wears a magician’s hat, a rabbit pulled as her sidekick
But when the show is over, she is gone
And you still need your fix

She has no family, her folks were run out of town
She has no family, her folk were on their way down
In the meantime you’re here, her brother
Her father, her priest and circus clown

She plays the trumpet, she rings deafly in your ears
She plays the trumpet, her notes blurred and unclear
While the drumbeat settles, she recites a poem
Or reenacts classic Shakespeare

The girl will drive your crazy, she just don’t care
The girl will drive you crazy, as she fixes her sweaty knotty hair
While the session was intimate
Nothing a grown boy need share

She works the night shift, always on the move
She works the grave shift, always out to prove
That she is no ones bargain
No one can mask her mood

Hmmm... I have been reading your poems a lot recently, and I have say that I am liking them an awful lot. You have talent.

I like this. I love the repeated line. It keeps it interesting.

I can't help feeling that there are messages in this that I can't comprehend....

Great write though,
*hugs* Phil xxx

I think the real magician here is YOU! Nicely done jyss. You always pull something new out of that hat of yours...
