Love's Good-bye

Contributed by dreamer_4_eternity on Friday, 3rd June 2005 @ 02:51:45 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Confusion fills your mind
And shows upon your face
When I tell you what you mean to me
Describing your love and grace

You shake your head in disbelief
Not believing you are what I say
You don’t believe you have the power
To stay in my heart each day

But long after you depart
Leaving me on my own
Your presence lingers in my mind and heart
Even without you, I am never alone

Your eyes are wide
As I come to a close
With a last “I love you”
And a good-bye rose

I may never see you
Once more in my life
For you’re leaving me here
Leaving me only strife

And if you ever come back
Don’t be surprised if I’m gone
I don’t want to waste my time
Slowly I’ll move on

However this does not mean
Our love will die with this rose
It will forever exist in the back of my heart
For real love never dies, as you already know

Maybe in our future
We’ll see each other without pain
The wounds will be healed
And only scars of memory will remain

I love your poem so much. It made me cry because you made me remember. Thank you for that... I needed to let it all out. Keep writing at posting.

Awwww...this is so sad...

I hope your love carries on and that someday you may be reunited.

A sad, heartfelt write.

I hope it is better for you soon.
