Dear Foolish Heart,
I warned you. You cannot say I didn't try. Nothing too good can be true. It's deception that you buy. Foolish heart, you've wronged me and have caused me too much grief. You've stolen all my happiness and I curse you for a thief. I know you loved him truly, though it reeked of desperation. You thought that he would be the one to assauge your desolation... but Cloud Nine evaporated and much too soon you were descending. You should've known much better than to expect a happy ending. No one ever seemed to realize how badly you'd been broken, for they didn't say, 'I told you so' (the truest words but never spoken). Next time I pray you heed my warning. Maybe someday you will learn... Heart, you cannot play with fire without suffering a burn.
Your,
Brain

Very heartfelt and quite the interesting delivery too! Very original to write from the brain to the heart... Love hurts and the heart will most likely always fall for it. Thanks for sharing this one! dw |

Feelings strongly came through and I liked the twisted end. "Your brain"

very unique! i really like it, sometimes it really does feel like my brain is saying 'i told you so'. it would be interesting to see what the heart had to say back to the brain about this...
