I won’t say goodbye until we’re over.
And if we are I won’t stay sober.
Cover my tears by downing beer.
Muffle my screams from my fear.
Mistakes were made I don’t know how.
In my tears is where I drown.
All this pain it fades away.
Every time I see your face.
As I say goodbye because we’re over.
Nothings wrong I’m just not sober
Intoxicating beer creates my fear.
These aren't my last tears so it appears.
Rate my pain I don’t know how.
I’m so sad I smile not frown.
Cry these tears, like November rain.
In the end it’s all the same.
I’m won’t say goodbye this isn’t over.
I’m so glad, can’t believe I’m sober.
Hold my breath until I scream.
I love you so much it’s not a dream.
And you love me I don’t know how.
I’m so glad these things worked out.
In the end it’s not all the same.
I no longer feel the pain.

good write... i liked the repeating of the 'goodbye' line... and not many people can use the word beer in a poem and make it rhyme well without sounding to childish... but yours worked for ya pretty well... keep up the good writes |
