Dancing Doll

Contributed by Spell_Weaver on Thursday, 2nd June 2005 @ 10:27:04 PM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

A night to remember, a darkened sky
A dancing doll has come alive
Sewn up after falling apart
Putting together her next work of art
Dancing this number on her own
Feeling alive though she's alone
Taking in the light of stars
Straining to fly away that far
Feel desire as you turn
Watch the fire as it burns
Clumsy spinning, little girl
Almost dreaming as she twirls
Sewing together a broken soul
Time is ticking, taking its toll
Pixies fly within her laugh
Walking on a beaten path
Wings have grown upon this day
Freedom now to fly away...

It was the title that drew me in..
But I must say .. this poem is among the best I've read yet.
It's got a haulting poignancy that just took my breath away ..

You've said so many things
in so few words-

I love this poem ..

and if you ask me, you're not getting enough reads or comments on it!

Sincerely,

Billy ..aka.. Man_On_High

Your imagery is absolutely dazzling. I could visualize every sentence in my mine. Your work is excellent.

A vivid, powerful write.
You've strung together deep emotions and soft imagination...
Excellent work!
