Respect

Contributed by NoSaint on Thursday, 2nd June 2005 @ 09:01:22 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Respect
Such an important word
Whether it is used
In regards to love, family, work

Respect
How we need to show
Each other that we do
In our little everyday actions

Respect
Timeless in its truth
Sadly lacking in today’s world
Precious interaction

Respect
Gives support when down
Helps with self worth
Lifts ones spirit to give as well as receive

Words of wisdom, Shari,,,, so very true....
Respect has to be earned!!

Reminded me of something an aunt wrote in my autograph book when I was 16..and I didn't truly understand it till I was an adult- She said..."It is a greater compliment to be TRUSTED than to be loved"
(Sorry for going off course here)

Have a good evening.
Jenni

Respect, hmm, sadly an unknown word or concept to so many in our world today in all countries. It takes so little to offer a smile or a hand in friendship, yet it just doesn't happen much anymore. I was always told that if everyone tried to live by the Golden Rule life would be as close to Heaven as possible. Does anyone even know the Golden Rule anymore? Splendid write, Shari. Absolutely splendid. Rita
