Where do you hide when the pain
is humming greedily in your face
and your neighbor doesn't understand
when best friends desert you
to your wanton pillow?
There is nowhere to go
when the sin is a part of you
desperate seed seeking a foothold
morsel of dirt in which to sink its fears
Can a mother ever run out of tears?
How many nights can she cry herself to sleep?
A woman I've never met is hurting,
and I am crying her tears

A mother is a mother and we all cry tears for each other at one time or another. There is no place to hide. The only friend we have is our Lord and only by praying and placing the problem in his hands can he ever solve it. It is so easy to lose your footing without HIm but with him we can overcome it all in time. Stitch, this is deeply touching.

Somehow i think everyone think that Mothers are suposed to be the heros, the one who will protect you from anything while they themselves dont know how to protect them.
Anyways i thought the poem was powerful, and i missed that from you Stitchy.

Oh Stitchy...this is so sad...
That last stanza really broke my heart.
I think this is a poem that everyone can relate to in some way, and you have put your feelings on the page beatifully.
Great write Stitchy, it's good to see you posting again.

I know the pain behind this one my dear friend, I live it everyday.
Wish that we could turn back time and steer our lives on a different path but thats not possible, so I guess we just have to struggle on.

powerfully written the middle stanza really hit
hard since I can relate to it all to well. Don't let
your pain get the best of you hold your head
up high and stare it down.

Wow, very touching indeed.
I love the word "wanton" by the way...I'd forgotten how expressive it is.
Great write Stich, keep it up.

I had forgotten how powerful words can be. You have a knack for that. (Reminding me)
This poem grabbed a hold of my heart, twisted it into an 8 double time and I hurt for some reason. It is hard to clarify.
I just know that suddenly I am extremely moved.
Extremely.

It breaks my heart to see a mother cry and yet I've been known to cause the tears myself sometimes.
Mom's are just as human as the rest of us... just... something about them has impressed upon us all that they're never as weak as we ourselves are. Odd, isn't it?
I love you, Stitcheroo.
Love and peace,

This was a very sad poem to me. It is sad to feel alone. It's like this song:
"A room is still a room
even when there's nothing there but gloom
but a room is not a house
and a house is not a home
when two of us are far apart
and one of us has a broken heart."

How did I miss this ? How did I ... How ?
There is a tremendous amount of emotion in this Stitch. I gotta tell ya ... those last two lines ... can you imagine how much better a world we would live in ... if everyone had such empathy ?
I greatly admire your ability with words, your unique style and your perception. Nicely penned Stitch.

I know you know, and I don't have to tell you, because this write was written by His pen.
Lovely poem.
*****Can a mother ever run out of tears?
How many nights can she cry herself to sleep?
A woman I've never met is hurting,
and I am crying her tears
Words like these lets me believe that I know you well.

Oh Stichi
these words recall a Psalm (cannot remember which one) how God weeps and grieves.over his children.
I am profoundly moved at your empathy with human suffering, especially the suffering incurred by love.
Wonderful job
Love and peace
