Broken Mirror

Contributed by spazz911 on Thursday, 2nd June 2005 @ 08:33:21 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

softly sweetly, beautiful glow
radiant moments, hearfelt hellos
gliding in praise, talent and bliss
not missing nothing, nothings amiss
so flows a prize that no one will dare
left alone and acorned, no beauty lies there
shut down and closed, loked with a key
no one dares open up, no chance, they wont see
she walks hoem in her grace, (as seen from above)
walks into a family, with caring and love
yet as seh enters, and locks her own door
she crys such sweet tears, slient harsh gore
her mind screamsin cain, her heart it is turn
they run to the rescue, yet everythings gone
they give up go home, no point to help her
she sits at her vanity, looks into her mirror
is was whole before, now a crack does appear
she stares in such horror, as it starts to break
watchs the picture, and her broken face
silently wonders, when she let go
when did she this torture, become oh so much
how did being good, become such a burden
when did her chasitity, lack in concernin
but the truth that it did, fills her with grief
she climbs form her window, her body lies on the street

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
