The rudimentary function
Of a pod such as that of a person
Is to pour a life long lesson
Into a last phrase, to be remembered
Overfilled and stuffed with imagination
The ego about to bust from lack of starvation
So in answer to
The famously posed question
I choose the glass half full
And seek out my fulfillments
I choose to see it through
Negate the coldness
That seeps
Cross out the words
That creep
They won’t let me fall
Asleep
They keep me restless
So that I may speak with you
Give it time and it will become clear
Couldn’t expect to learn it all, in these few years
I can hardly begin to imagine
Yet its with such vindictive satisfaction
What exactly could have happened
If I hadn’t stopped
If this was a dead end block
