Where the water flows invariably
and you can listen to my cries
there's a purpose behind the flowing tears
a reason behind these swollen eyes
and by the red clay banks
once pure mud now stained with blood
I bend and pray to anyone
who'll come and stop this flood
here there aren't any flowers
nothing beautiful around
any beauty that once grew here
it has long sense been drowned
the sun is just a hazy glow
a stranger to my eyes
in conflict with my darkness
which it does despise
Yes, my darkness it does despise... As do I.
