My Father

Contributed by Your_baby_girl_4life on Tuesday, 31st May 2005 @ 09:31:28 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

All these years I tried to love you,
I tried to act like you loved me,
You were never there for my 14 years of growing.
You cared more about drugs and alcohol than trying to see
Your only daughter.
You know I wouldn't be your only child
If you didn't kill the other kid.
My mom tried to make it sound like you actually cared for me.
I could always see through it.
And the fake letter you wrote me when I was one,
Yes I still have it and yes I want to rip it up and burn it!
You blame me for not calling you and then you
Yell at everyone saying that I don't appreciate you!
Guess what!?!
You're right!
I tried to call you, but you never called back.
When I finially got ahold of you, you rushed me off the phone.
Now you're forced to call me by my Grandma
And you don't even call me, you called my REAL dad.
When will you wake up and realize that it's not only your
life you're ruining??
It's mine also.

I hope you feel better after venting.
Your poem although angry was easy to read as it just flowed along.

P.S.
There are sperm donners and there are Fathers
Your father is the one who raised you through all the ups & downs

Sounds as if you have a step dad now---I hope he is what you need.
