SNEEZE
Graduating students numbering ninety-three
Filing into the crowded auditorium solemnly....
Rich maroon gowns flowing and traditional caps,
Almost as grown-up as they felt, or perhaps.
Father's with lumps in their throats, moms drop a tear.
No prayers were allowed in their ceremony this year.
This was not their choice, but was forced upon them all.
A recent court ruling prohibited prayers said in this hall.
Staying within the guidelines students were very careful.
Inspirational talks and challenging speeches, nothing from the Bible
No one was allowed to ask God's Blessing or guidance.
Neither the principal, nor the students could acknowledge his presence.
Speeches of all were nice, but they were also routine.
Until the very last speech everyone rose and clapped supreme!
A solitary student walked proudly to the stage, and hesitated.
All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!
The student on stage simply looked at the audience and said,
"God Bless You!" then walked off the stage very pleased
The entire audience exploded into applause.....
This graduating class found a way to invoke His Blessings
without violating man's laws!
A moment to be remembered for all their lives to come.
A love for their Creator, and their integrity had won!
Yes, they may be able to take God out of our ceremonies,
But no man can take him out of our hearts, that's an insult
to our intelligence, we're no dummies!
A dear friend sent me this story
It was so wonderful
I just couldn't resist....
The poem is mine.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is out light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, "Whom am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God. Your playing "small" does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people
won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the Glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us, It is in everyone. And as we let our light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence
automatically liberates others.

Applause to those brave souls who did not let those few who would take away our rights not get them down

I think it is a sad day in the history of mankind, when "man" can hide the one thing that created him. Not allowing prayers in school is a step backwards in a society that is supposed to be advancing. Maybe the new graduates may oneday put us on the right track again by fighting for what is "RIGHT" Allow God back in schools, or else we fall prey to the lower species that wants to reign! Satan, Lucifer, whatever you name him, evil wants to reign and it will take a mass of people like those BRAVE students to diligently FIGHT! To them I say GOD BLESSED YOU! And also you ms. con sue, for bringing this wonderful poem and story to us! Angel always! joni |
