French Roast

Contributed by Crimson_Rose on Tuesday, 31st May 2005 @ 12:56:50 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

The aroma of fresh coffee teased Camille’s nostrils
She raised the deep, round cup to her lips and lightly sipped
Steaming French Roast coffee burnt her tongue
Camille ignored the scalding liquid and got lost in its taste
Modestly she set it down on the table and began to
Muse on its delicious smell and tasty flavor

Café délicieux...

In that old-fashioned café, in lovely Paris
This was a small café, on a simple corner,
The golden sun was shining in the big, French sky
Neither was there a single cloud in it as well
It didn’t get much attention, but it was to Camille’s liking

Café délicieux...

As Camille stared out the window onto a brilliant tower
The Eiffel tower to be precise, she smiled with joy
She arranged her black beret and straightened her white skirt
Her delicate legs were crossed as she to sip
Another cup of sumptuous French Roast coffee

Café délicieux...

A gentle breeze ruffled her knee-high skirt
The high stool across from her suddenly made a slight noise
And her sienna brown eyes met with her husband, Amaury
Camille smiled warmly behind her cup and to him, she said
Care for a cup of coffee? She smiled once again

Café délicieux...
