Poetic Tears

Contributed by Essentially9 on Sunday, 29th May 2005 @ 07:45:28 PM in AEST
Topic: poets

Poetic Tears

Her sadness is poetic,
And is unread by all.
Her words are wasted
As tears fall.

The drops glisten with the happiness
That starts to leave her heart
As loneliness
Tears her apart.

She hears the echoes of her lines
In her head full of silent sins.
She can only remember the lies
That were written behind them.

Her words are perfectly rhymed,
To portray her happiness
While others read her lines
And feel sadness.

It's those darn people that read between the lines. No matter how well you learn your lines and lay them out there; it is like reading braille. The truth just pops right out at them.

Great write.

Very good. Something that probably hits home to several writers on here. I know it did for me.

Awesome poem I think every poet has felt
that his/her words have been wasted since
they didn't get read or commented on much.
This was a very insightful poem that many
writers can probably relate to. You conveyed
sadness and frustration well in this write.

If I were to write a ;poem, and got nothing but a big zero. I'd still consider myself a big Hero!
For poems come from your heart, and are there to depart. It's those that can write poetry that never start! It's not always the best, but the most persistant you see....and this poem of yours is as good as can be!!!
I just loved it
Warm love

Very relatable feelings in this one...and I get a sense of remorse too. I enjoyed this one a lot because I can relate so well, so it's hard to pick a favourite part...I'll go with the third stanza, but I really feel the second one as well...Nice Jen...very nice.
