How I Wish You Were Here (Dedicated To Wookie...)

Contributed by SpreadYourWings on Thursday, 2nd January 2003 @ 09:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

Everytime I'd look at the sun, I see you run
Would you be with me? For all eternity?
Or Would you bid farewell, to the story you'd never tell
I saw you leave on towels of wind, to be changed again
With bluest shade and brownest eyes, who could deny
We can't deny the inner war we fought before
At first you won't believe, trying to decieve
My greatest friend where are you? Something I should do?
Tears that cried of metal tables, that remained unstable
With moon, a whiteness covers sky, can't say goodbye
On greenest breeze do fly away and home to stay
In the browning ground, asleep so sound
How often do i cry, i cannot say goodbye
Can't i see you one more time, before its a crime
Where can i lay may head to rest? before it gets far too stressed
I know someday we'll meet again, so my love I send
Though it seems like years, how I wish you were here

This is a very deep and solemn poem, but it was very good and heartreaching.
