Trip to the beach

Contributed by somedaylove on Sunday, 29th May 2005 @ 12:41:36 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The moon reflecting on the waters
So pure and clear
It’s like the first time
I stared into your eyes

The sweet smell all around
Filling the air
Brings back memories
Of my nose in your hair

The breeze flowing
Across the water
Wraps my body
Like a great big hug

The spray of the water
Upon my body
Feels like you hands
Caressing me

All the sounds of nature
That I hear so clear
Are just like your voice
Saying I Love You

The mist on my lips
So moist and clean
Reminds me of a
Hot wet kiss

The sands of the beach
Forms all around me
Like our two bodies
Fit one to another

The waves gently
Crashing into the shore
Is like the sounds of
Our bodies coming together

In times when we must be apart
Take a trip to the beach
For there you will see
Together we will always be

This is truly a lovely write. Memories help sustain us in times of depression, fear, and/or loss. Isn't it amazing how sights, sounds and aromas can bring back certain happy times (and sad) in our lives. I will certainly be watching for more or your work.

Smiles,
Rita
