A friend I never knew
Awaited the next clue
I was meant to leave for her
Yet I didn’t quite, get it
I was brand new
New to this game
That tests
A man’s restraint
That compels
The artist to paint
A scene
Of rapid descent
Down the staircase
In to your heart
I leapt
I meant no harm
I wouldn’t want to startle you
I came to console
Not to trouble,
You further
I stay to comfort
To give you my shoulder
So cry out your fears
Speak out to me
Your ideas
Making your intentions known
Let them be crystal clear
Clear, as the color white
Near as the reflection
Of freight
As the trembling
Sensation
Forces an internal
Rebellion
And your muscles tense
The rules you made
Don’t make a damned sense
How conceded
And narcissistic
To think I would repent
To those who impeded on
My wicked torments
