You know how you get that feeling deep down in your soul
A feeling so demanding, it could make you lose control
Then the feeling fades away but comes again full force
It some how knows what fate has planned, and gets you back on course
But then it slowly fades again, and you wait until the day
When it builds up with such emotion, you can't keep it away
It's somehow like a coaster ride, with all its ups and downs
It's a wonder you can ever keep, your feet flat on the ground
You feel loss, you feel love, you feel these great things
You know you always have to take, whatever it may bring
The ups are great and full of fun, the downs are like a knife
But isn't that what its all about? This amazing thing called life.

Splendid analogy. Life is exactly like a roller coaster. Lots of ups and downs but dang it is exciting. The downs make us appreciate the ups even more than we normally would. Wishing you an equal ride on life.

The happy times are a mercy of God, but the troubles are the character builders. A very good poem - I like " This amazing thing called life.
Pain can: Move your mind from the trivial, to things of eternal worth,
Make you think more clearly, the purpose for your birth.
Let you see things that trancend this fleeting mortal life,
Produce humility and kindness; replacing pride and strife. God bless
