I stand and stare with a heart that wont rest
For my heart beats hard within my chest
From this pain in my life my heart can not rest
I stand and listen as the waves hit the shore
For my heart is burning for so much more
The waves crash against me and hit my pride
I’m soaked in sweat as I start to cry
Tides come in to bring me pain
And they go out to leave me insane
The waters hit me and strip my soul
And rip out my heart and make me a fool
As a sweat of pain rolls down my chest
I fall to my knees to find some rest
Will my life ever pass this test
Because the answers unclear
And I don’t know the rest
The waters hit me and I fall to the shore
Why all this pain I want something more
I want a love my heart can adore
But I’ll never love for my heart is a whore
I’ve walked out of her life and I shut that door
So I’ll hold these pains with in my chest
For in my life its all I have left
