Will 'o the Wisp

What is that shining light I see?
That Will 'o the Wisp floating free
From the dark and muffling fog
A glimpse of warmth within the bog
Will I end up lost and perish for sure;
If I fall prey to its magical lure?
I feel compelled to take this chance;
Follow the star that ensnares with a glance
For this is no mythical creature of old
No story your late grandmother told
I'll follow this light to the end and on;
This is no trick; 'tis the secret of dawn!
