The Tale of a Fading Star

Contributed by AnastasiaN on Saturday, 28th May 2005 @ 04:13:44 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

i know you could never understand
that behind fairy tales is broken glass
and i'm beginning to believe
that love is an illusion
the sky will never look the same again
where our stars crossed paths
suddenly one of them turned back
and we both stumbled off the track
a thousand years of light
and ours burned out so soon
that's why i relent this defeat
and i hand it over to you
i know that time won't change a thing
when my prayers go unanswered
and my dreams unfulfilled
and the future is so unsure
now there's nothing at stake
there's nothing left of my heart to break
but it feels like i've already been here
and i feel myself let go and fade
and i hope to shade the world
as my star burns out and i desintegrate
and all this pain rains down like dust
and settles on our tragic fate

Your feelings are so clear in this piece...very emotive. We've all been here, and it sucks! You expressed the sadness of it quite well. Keep up the writes.
